You would may as well compose with a brick. To the point, the keys are tiny even compared with my 25 key Akai LPK midi controller. In addition, the key travel is so shallow it's like the Chicket keys on an Apple laptop. The tactile feel is lacking again, even compared to another tiny 25 key controller.

The lack of key travel also, at least, gives one the impression of having less control over the velocity sensitivity. In short, while I really like the idea of having 7 extra keys, their lack of size and shallowness are deal breakers.

I have no issue whatsoever with the keyboard - the keys feel good. The ONLY issue I could possibly have with this is there's no way to adjust a velocity curve on the keyboard itself. Yes, stupid. I had no idea midi controllers were so cheap, and this one doesn't even have to have a socket to plug it into the wall because it's powered through the USB. I reckoned I might be taking a risk, but this is perfect, particularly as I'm setting choral music with a limited range and basically single-note lines with the odd split parts. The tiny keyboard is very slightly shorter than my apple extended keyboard and a little thicker than the thick edge of the keyboard, so it's very neat on the desk.

The keys are short and slightly narrower than my standard size keyboard, but only slightly. I was setting one note at a time, and apart from having to be a bit careful not to brush an adjacent note just a case of getting used to the size I had absolutely no difficulty. On occasion I had to check a note by hearing it in the chord, and I had no difficulty playing the chord with all 6 notes.

There is only one positive outcome I can think of in a high end subwoofer versus this subwoofer and that is high SPL sound pressure level or high decibels at lower frequency range specially in the low 20hz. I know high end subwoofer can go below 20hz but that is below a human ear can hear so it is out of the question. You are buying more subwoofers not to make it louder but to improve the listening pleasure of lower frequencies on every listening area of the room so that anywhere you go in the room, you hear the same kind of bass.

With the Audyssey Platinum, you do have lots of controls for subwoofer corrections and settings. My current set up is 7. Two of my subs are these polk subwoofer. My only negative comment to this product is the small feet. I wished polk put a 1" rubber foot to minimize rattling and vibration. Other than that, I am a very happy with my purchase. Bottom line, spend more on a higher end receiver and spend less for the subwoofers. To buy a higher end receiver at a discounted price, buy a used one or do what I did.

If your looking for some extra kick on your budget setup and cannot or will not justify spending a lot of cash for good boom, you truly cannot go wrong with the PSW, especially for apt dwellers like me!

As someone who has only ever owned cheaper 8", and 10" subwoofers I'm surprised at the quality of the bass that this 12" delivers. The build quality is solid. The bass is tight and accurate. This is an upgrade from a Polk PSW Which was serviceable, but there was a ton of port noise that became distracting to the point that I had to make a change.

You have the option to turn off the LCD backlight and the red recording light, which will save the battery and also make it less conspicuous. You can format the chip directly from the recorder, you can use a low cut filter for noise reduction, and you can play at a variable speed if desired. The recorder is solid state no moving parts so it is completely silent when in use. However, be sure to keep the volume at zero and slide the hold switch up when recording, as handling it could stop the recording and start the play function.

I am not reviewing or recommending this for music recording, as good quality music recordings are a different beast, but this is great for voice, including use by students, professionals, and investigators.
